A refined pair of French side chairs capturing the timeless grace of the Louis XVI revival. Hand-carved in beechwood and finished in a delicately aged celadon-grey, their sculpted backs and fluted legs evoke the quiet elegance of a 19th-century Parisian salon.
The golden textured upholstery, accented with brass nailhead trim, brings a gentle warmth to the cool tones of the painted wood. Though the fabric was replaced in the mid-20th century, the frames retain their original patina — softly worn by time, revealing hints of the artisan’s brush beneath.
An exquisite pairing for a boudoir, hallway, or sitting room where subtle sophistication is desired.
Condition
Upholstery replaced mid-century; original painted finish shows gentle wear and a lovely time-softened patina that adds authenticity to the pair.
